The leading Portuguese contemporary artist Joana Vasconcelos announced yesterday to be the first Portuguese artist with a solo show in Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao.

The announcement was made last night by the Portuguese Prime Minister, Antònio Costa in his official residence in Lapa, Lisbon.

I have had the privilege to follow the preparation of the collection and without revealing too much, I must say that it is a truly amazing range of world class sculptures and installations.
